How to express your impressions ?

 

This quite commonplace speech - function may puzzle French students by its numerous facets .

The first thing to note is that it is a matter of viewpoint .

Look at the following grid .

The first example is given to you .

Try to do the other examples by yourself , then give a translation for each case .

 

 

The second thing is that the verbs can be followed by different structures .

Either a simple adjective ( it was the case in the first exercise ) , a preposition - of or like - or as if / as though .

Try to translate the following sentences with one of the structures : note that each structure should be used once .

 

Comme il est beau dans son costume de jeune marié !
